Our smart little cookie

Luke is such a smart, fun little boy and is growing sooo fast! He is so much fun these days and is always surprising us with new tricks and new words each day.

Here's a fun little update on a few things this funny boy is doing these days.

Luke is talking like crazy.

When I took this picture of him at the window, he was yelling, "People! How are you?" as the cars drove by. Another funny phrase we hear frequently is, "Thank you my friend," or "Hello my friend." If I sneeze or cough, he says "bless you mom," even when he hears me across the house. Each day he is saying new things. Funny kid.

We are also going through the phase, "let's take our clothes off all the time."

He manages to get out of almost everything we put on him and if he doesn't get out of it, he gets close.

Luke knows how to count to ten and knows his ABC's, just not well enough to do them A-Z on his own. Occasionally we'll sit with him and go through the ABC at this website. He knows a few of his colors, we're still working on those.

Some of his favorite things to do right now are play games, play pretend food,  read books, practice ABC's, play soccer, go to dad's soccer games, color, play with play dough (this one entertains him for an hour each time at least), play with all his stuffed animals, help mom do pretty much everything. "I wana help mommy." He helps unload the dishes, make the beds, sort and do the laundry, clean up the toys, turn on and push the vacuum, unload the groceries, help cook dinner and turn on and off all the T.V. stuff. 

He also loves getting into things, still. I'm not sure these kiddies ever grow out of this one. He loves stickers. (This picture is for Mandy, who is just slightly terrified of them). He likes to turn the water on in our bathroom (he can reach) and "bash" (wash) or "bush" (brush). 

 

Luke loves his teepee. Grandma Clark sent it out for his birthday last year (just the fabric, that would be hilarious if she sent the tubes too). He has been obsessed with it lately. We do a lot in his teepee. We have snacks, read books, play "dames," and even watch movies.

Last Friday night, while we were getting snowed in, we decided to stay home and watch a movie. Occasionally we'll get kid movies and let him stay up a little bit later. Dad had the bright idea (he is the creative one) of making a bed with our futon pads inside the teepee. Luke thought it was so much fun. We all laid in there and watched Bolt.

As you can see, it takes up more than half of our living room.

Luke is so funny these days. It's hard to record all the little things he is doing, but all this blogging helps me remember some of it. 

I am going to bring out the finger paints and water colors soon to see if he can handle those. He is such a joy to us!
