End of January and The House Is Coming Along!

Just some more random photos to log....

Matt sunbathing in the window...is he a grandpa yet?

Devin and his continued stubbornness. It was hat day. This house is full of some pretty
awesome hats. But no. We had to make one, 10 minutes before school. Oh Devin!

James is still quite the cutie and happiest one in our house. He's become more
and more independent...or at least he thinks so.

Luke earned a SuperStar Award at his school last week!

Devin was not enjoying the assembly one bit. It went something like this:
Announcer: "the award goes to amberlynn...."
Devin: "amberlynn?!! Well, thats a weird name!"
Or "She has a weird voice!"
Or covering his ears when some high school kids were performing a song.
He's such a charmer isn't he?
Oh and if you've ever met Devin you know he does not know how
to whisper. That boy!

 Luke's BIRTHDAY!
(more to come on the next post).

Our house is really coming along. Now it's all getting VERY exciting!
I squeal a little bit every time I see it!
They actually laid the tile wrong around the fire place (it's suppose to lay
vertically, not horizontally), but they are quickly fixing that,
I LOVE our tile choices!!

We went with some friends to the Bean Museum
at BYU. My boys are outnumbered by girls here!

And if you haven't heard Spring has already arrived in February?!! The last few days have been SOOOO nice. Today it was 70 degrees! We've played outside, jogged outside, fed ducks,
rode scooters, you name it! It's been glorious!

And more progress on the house...
Stopped by today and they're starting to paint the exterior.
It will be white and grey pretty much. I can't wait to see it done!
Our master bath is looking so good. Matt takes credit for choosing
the faux wood tile (I'm pretty sure I would have chosen the
same thing, if he hadn't beaten me to it. But it was actually the most
expensive tile we chose...so at least I can blame him for that-hah!)
And I LOVE the shower and tub. I was so nervous because it's actually not really tile.
It comes in a sheet. It's sorta fake, but you would never guess. It even looks
like it has grout, but it doesn't so it's suppose to be much easier to clean and still gives
it that lovely subway tile look I wanted (plus it saved us a bundle!).

 The boys bath.
And CABINETS! So exciting!
Also, I was so nervous the paint would turn out purple or blue-looking, but it actually
looks just how I had hoped.
Everyone tells you "if your marriage can survive building a house
then you can survive anything." I think that's a bunch of baloney!
We've had such a blast with the building process. The worst part
has been waiting!! By the way, we close March 11th!!!
Yay!
