Halloween 2010

I'm finally blogging about Halloween. Shesh.

Matt had the weekend off, which was great.

Friday we put together some (lame) last minute costumes and went to our friends big Halloween party.

Saturday night we went Trunk-or-Treating.

And Sunday, we went to church, turned off our porch light and ignored the trick-or-treaters.

An hour before the trunk-or-treating activity I decided to (finally) make Luke a Halloween bag, with the fabric my m-in-law sent out two years ago. It was easy peasy and turned out cute, I think.

Luke was a skeleton, as you can see.

But he also added a few things:

A black, spandex swimming cap.

Eye mask, we made for his baby incredibles costume he wore two years ago.

And one mitten.

He's so funny.

This is a pic our friends took at their Halloween party. I was a ninja, Matt a paratrooper, Luke a skeleton and Devin an adorable monster.

An update

• Luke is potty trained! Hip hooray!
• Devin will take a bottle, after he smiles and coos for 10 minutes, then he'll focus and take one.
  (I'm still nursing, I just want him to be able to take one if needed.)
• Matt got released as Young Men's Prez (after serving in that calling for 1-2ish years). He's now a "Moonbeam Teacher," soon to be a Sunbeam Teacher.
• I got released out of the Primary Presidency (after being in Primary for 3 1/2 years) and am now the "Ward Bulletin Specialist and Ward Website Administrator." And it ROCKS!!!
• Matt and I completed a major project we've been working on (with a lot of guidance and help from Anne) for almost 3 years. We finally printed the Autobiography of Russell B. Clark-Matt's grandpa, who died last year at the age 108. It looks awesome and we are really excited about it!
• Matt has all of next week off for Thanksgiving.
• Matt's ENTIRE family (a total of 25, including us) is coming from all over the U.S. to have Thanksgiving at our house. We are SO SO excited to see everyone. 
• We will also be blessing little Devin, at our house, while everyone is here.

While cleaning the church on Saturday morning:

Luke (up at the pulpit, in the microphone): (giggles) and then in a very serious voice, "Jesus died." "Hello, hello, hello. I'm Luke!" "President Monson is Prophet." "blahaguogloshs (made up words)."

I get him to get down and he says: "Mom, I'm just bearing my testmony. I can do that for my mom. Yeah."

That's about what's going on around here. I have some pictures I need to post. We also had our family pictures taken that I need to post as well.

Almost 2 months!

 Devin is growing, growing, growing!!!

He LOVES to smile.

 And yes, he's looking a lot like Luke did. 

He is so cute, isn't he?!

I just love this chubby baby.

Devin is having drama at the Doc's, so we've been back and forth to the Dr's lately. 

A few days ago he weighed in at a whooping 13.1 lbs!!!

"Yes, I'm are."

Is just one of the funny things Luke says frequently. And if I don't write down the others, I will forget them too quickly.

"What in the woold?!! (world)"
"That was weird!"
"I don't like seeing Devin's hands." (Because they used to always have socks on them.)
"I did it all by my ooowwwn self!"
"Yes, I'm are funny mom."
Sings from A to Z and then sings, "Now I wonder what you are."
"Row row your boat, da down da stream, mary mary down mary'ssss dreeeam."
"Devin, don't poop, mommy just changed you!"
He frequently cries for "damma" or "dampa", or sometimes Devin...only when he's in trouble.
I ask him to do something and he (sometimes) responds, "Otay, mom, otay, I will."
And everything is, "whhhhhyyyyy mom? why?" and I mean everything.
"that sound good mom?"
"that'd be great!"
"wait! I have an idea!!"
"yeah, mom, yeah, that's a good idea." (usually after he proposed the idea)
"can you mommy/daddy? caaaaaan yoooou?" in a very sweet, hard to resist voice.

Mom:"Do you need a tissue?"
Luke: "No, I just wipe on Daddy's pillow."

Mom:"You are driving me nuts."
Luke:"No mom, I'm driving you crazy!"

Yesterday we had the first snow fall of the season. Matt miraculously got off at 10am on a Saturday, when he was supposed to stay until 7pm. It was awesome and will probably never happen again. He came home and took Luke out to play. We soon realized we didn't have the right kind of winter clothes for Luke, except his coat and beanie. Notice the sock gloves? Yeah, they have sandwich baggies on underneath too...dad's idea.

Not a great picture because I was taking it through our window. At least they had fun!

Luke is such a funny little boy and keeps us laughing.

I can hardly believe that he'll be 3 in January!
