A whole lot of randomness and some Thanksgiving

I'm trying to catch up on some photos, so here are some random ones....

Here's a random picture from Luke's joy school class from the beginning of the year.
Funny story: Luke got in trouble for drawing a "happy face on his chin" and as I was taking the picture he quickly pulled up his shirt and said, "Oh and there is an L-U-K-E on my belly."
For Thanksgiving we had our friends the Egberts here from Virginia! It was so fun! We love when they come and visit. My camera was only used a few times, because Maddy's camera is so much cooler than mine! (I'm saving my pennies). So here are a few random ones from the weekend. I'll add more when I get some from her.
The boys went and picked some of our carrots from our garden! It was so fun and they seriously taste amazing.
Damon eating the carrot tops like a little rabbit.
Some of our feast (which was a lot of planning and work to feed about 4 people, but it was worth it and fun!).
Dev devouring the frog eye salad.
Going against all traditions and what I was raised to do...we nixed the pie and made this SUPER chocolatey sour cream bunt cake with a delicious chocolate ganache. I loved it.

We had fun shopping, going to parks, going on walks, watching lots of movies, eating lots of good food and just hanging out and letting the boys play. It was such a great week. Thanks for making the 10 hr trek!

After everyone left it wasn't long before the Christmas decorations went up. And every day since, Luke asks if it's Christmas.

I'm shocked by how many pictures Matt has been taking lately without me even having to mention it!

Matt told me Luke was up in our room looking through the "princess book," which is actually full of Disney stories, not just princess ones! And he was up there a while. Eventually we went up to get him and this is how we found him.

Staycation, well sorta.

The week before Thanksgiving Matt had NINE days off for vacation!!! It was awesome! He's never had so much time off before. We did a lot of playing, going to parks, shopping, fixing/cleaning our house and oh yeah, our kids were sick...not a surprise! But that never slows us down too much (they were sick in Hawaii too, but we still had a great time).

We did a few super fun things. I'm aware that these pictures are absolutely horrible. I don't know why I use my point'n shoot sometimes....it's just easier than hauling around my big camera...but oh well!

One fun thing we did was go to American Bouncers, an inflatable, bouncy place. We went with our HSSA group so it was cheap and there was lunch! It was fun that Daddy could come.

And one of Luke's best buddies Parker was there.

And we went to KALAHARI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It rocked. Seriously. SO FUN!

Allow me to explain. It's "America's largest indoor water resort." A hotel, restaurants, water park, arcade....FUN!
We got a great package deal. For about $200 bucks, we got a "free" upgrade on our room, $40 for dinner and $40 for breakfast and $40 to spend at the arcade (which gets you a lot of games and tickets!). It was totally worth it and so much fun! That also includes 2 days at the water park.
It was freezing cold and windy outside, but our room was nice a toasty!

The water park was awesome! There were some great rides. There were a few we couldn't go on because you had to have 2 adults, so we will have to go back with some other people.

Matt on the Flow Rider.

And then they had this totally AWESOME play place. It was 3 stories that you could climb around in, with fun slides and hundreds of balls you could shoot at each other. We probably spent a good 3-4 hours there.

Dev has learned to fold his arms.

We brought flat Ella with us too! We'll send her back soon Ella.

We let Luke play a game and he happened to win the jack-pot! It was awesome!

It was so fun. We can't wait to go back again with some friends or family.

Next up: Thanksgiving with the Egberts!
Stay tuned.
