GO TRIBE!!!!!!!

Friday night we went to a Cleveland Indian's game!
We had a lot of fun and we were glad our good friends could come with us.
The Indian's were playing the Seattle Mariners, this was the first game we've been to that they've lost, it was close and they were on a ten game winning strike!
Luke was a champ! After the game they did an awesome firework
show (way better than any I've ever seen) and Luke slept
through the whole show, thank goodness we were able to enjoy the show!

When ever we'd block the jumbo tron Luke would do whatever
he could to see it, like arch his back or flip around. He loved it, it was so funny.
Jason & Marilyn we're glad you guys could come!
Jason held Luke for a while, they had fun playing, it was a nice little break for us.
The prettier side of Cleveland.

The look on Matt's face cracks me up.

They shot off the fireworks from right behind the flag, it was really pretty.
Jason & Luke playing around.

I'm finally giving in....

It's time I take the the plunge.
That's right I'm finally giving in and reading the praised books, The Twilight Series.
I've had the first book since before they started to be so popular, I read the first half and never finished the rest (I rarely do unless I'm really in to it). So I'm giving it another try, I'll let you know what I think!

Here we go...

7 Months Already?

I can hardly believe that Luke is 7 months already!
He is growing so fast, it's hard to keep up with.
Here are some new milestones he's reached!

He got this new shirt I love, so I had to take some pictures, of course!
(He looks like Mr. Monk)

Luke has had a mean scream lately, he's probably getting his top teeth. He has been super fussy, last night we decided to take him on a walk, but we didn't want him to fall asleep so we carried him and he fell asleep anyway. We tried so hard to keep him awake, he just zonked out on daddy's head.
He's learned to pull himself up in his crib, which makes going to bed and naps hard. We put him down and he climbs up and holds on yelling, talking or screaming. We come and do it all over again until he falls asleep. One thing he has yet to learn is how to get down from a stand, he gets up, but can't get down.
I find him peeking quite often.
We pulled his swing back out to see if that would calm him down a little and he just likes to hang off it like so.
He's graduated from scooting to crawling!
Since about 51/2 months he just did an army crawl, the past week he's learned the real thing.
And he's learned to pull himself up on everything else. Which means he falls a lot and bonks his head, this is when I WISH we didn't have hardwood floors. He doesn't really cruise around very much yet, thank goodness.
Oh he gets very excited about this one, being able to see over the edge of the pack'n play...
Although he struggles a bit with this one still.

Other things he's been doing lately, is sleeping pretty good through the night, getting into EVERYTHING, being a big stinker at diaper changing time, he's very very squirmy! He's talking a lot and he's started taking a bottle and best of all he'll eat Cheerios and the Gerber Graduates Puffs. He loves eating off my peaches, watermelon and sucking on apples.

Health Insurance is the BEST!

Some might complain and groan about paying for health insurance, I know because I have before, until today. Today our health insurance has made our day here at the Clark household.

When Luke and I were in the hospital after I had him, at University Hospitals, we received an E.O.B. (explanation of benefits) ya know that had everything we were going to be billed for and how much was out to insurance. Well it was a lot...a lot as in my hospital stay was 10,668.00 and Luke's bill was around 1,700.00. That was just from the hospital, not including, lab bills, doctor visits/prenatal care/ultrasounds bills.
Well it's been about 7 months since we had Luke and we haven't received any bills from the hospital, which we've been dreading. So I called over to the hospital to see what happened to our bills, or what our balance was and the news was GREAT!!!

"Mrs. Clark you're balance for your hospital charges is ZERO. The insurance has covered everything. As for your son, you only own 286.00"

Wooot Wooot!! I wanted to jump up and down and scream! All along we were dreading all these bills but not any more!

Our fun filled weekend

We had some fun adventures this weekend. On Friday night we headed out to the John Johnson Farm in Hiram, where we met up with our church members and had a ward camp out. The weather was great, although a bit chilly at night. We had hot dogs over the fire for dinner, visited with friends and had a big bon fire with the rest of the group and ate some roasted starbursts and smores! In the morning we had a delicious breakfast and packed up. It was so fun being around our friends and camping at the John Johnson Farm. The John Johnson Home was where Joseph Smith was tarred and feathered. I love visiting it and feeling the spirit there.
It is absolutely beautiful out there. I think it truly is one of my favorite places to be on a summer's night. It's far from the city and it is all just farm land for miles, rolling hills, fields, bright green colors everywhere, and you can watch the sunset, which is hard to do in the city.
After dinner we headed over to the open field and took some pictures in front of the beautiful sunset.
Luke loved sitting in the grass and trying to eat it.
The picture below is our FAVORITE!
We entered it into a baby contest for the American Baby Magazine,
so please check it out, go on a recommend our baby!!!

Luke's first time meeting a dog, he wasn't too sure of Max, but he wanted to grab his nose. Luckily, he's a nice dog.
He also learned a new trick, how to balance on daddy's hands.
Luke was probably the warmest, which was good.
It was pretty darn chilly, but he was nice and bundled and slept straight through the night.
Saturday morning we drove over to Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park,
it was a fun little short hike. It was really pretty a few little waterfalls, and big ledges (big for Ohio). It was so green and pretty though, it was a lot of fun. Luke was cheering when we were done as you can tell from the above picture.

Me balancing on a log above a 4o foot ledge.
Just kidding, but from where we were it sure looked like it.
It was so cool and pretty, unfortunately some people have vandalized it a bit.
Oh this was an awesome tree that had fallen and kept growing out the side of a huge rock, the roots just looked really cool.
On our way home we stopped at Monroe Farms and bought some really yummy, fresh peaches, zuchinni's, squash & corn. The peaches were amazing!!!

Temple Trip

Today we took a little family trip down to Columbus to the Temple.
It was a beautiful day.
Since we didn't have a babysitter, or someone to swap babies with I stayed with
Luke while Matt went in and then we switched. We left at 6:45 a.m.
and got home at 5:30 p.m. So it was a long day but worth it.
While I was with Luke we took some pictures outside around the beautiful temple, he's my little cheeser! You can see his two little teeth in the picture above.

We love you little man!

Fun stuff and my stinkin cute baby

The past few days here in Cleveland the weather has been on the cool side & Monday's are free at the Zoo for Cuyahoga County residents so today we headed out to the Zoo!
It was nice, it was about 65 degrees, it felt great!

Luke, Mommy and the Red Panda Bears

He was checking out some fish that were bigger than him!

Matt loves the Polar Bears, he wanted a picture.

We have season passes to the city pool, so we went for a swim the other day.

And there's just a few pictures of my sweet baby boy I thought I'd add.
He looks so cute and cuddly in the morning! I just want to squeeze him!

This is his new favorite sleeping position, I think he just falls asleep praying.

I found this hat that actually fits Lukes head haha!
