Our fun filled weekend

We had some fun adventures this weekend. On Friday night we headed out to the John Johnson Farm in Hiram, where we met up with our church members and had a ward camp out. The weather was great, although a bit chilly at night. We had hot dogs over the fire for dinner, visited with friends and had a big bon fire with the rest of the group and ate some roasted starbursts and smores! In the morning we had a delicious breakfast and packed up. It was so fun being around our friends and camping at the John Johnson Farm. The John Johnson Home was where Joseph Smith was tarred and feathered. I love visiting it and feeling the spirit there.

It is absolutely beautiful out there. I think it truly is one of my favorite places to be on a summer's night. It's far from the city and it is all just farm land for miles, rolling hills, fields, bright green colors everywhere, and you can watch the sunset, which is hard to do in the city.
After dinner we headed over to the open field and took some pictures in front of the beautiful sunset.

Luke loved sitting in the grass and trying to eat it.

Luke's first time meeting a dog, he wasn't too sure of Max, but he wanted to grab his nose. Luckily, he's a nice dog.

He also learned a new trick, how to balance on daddy's hands.

Luke was probably the warmest, which was good.
It was pretty darn chilly, but he was nice and bundled and slept straight through the night.

Saturday morning we drove over to Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park,
it was a fun little short hike. It was really pretty a few little waterfalls, and big ledges (big for Ohio). It was so green and pretty though, it was a lot of fun. Luke was cheering when we were done as you can tell from the above picture.

It was so cool and pretty, unfortunately some people have vandalized it a bit.

Oh this was an awesome tree that had fallen and kept growing out the side of a huge rock, the roots just looked really cool.

On our way home we stopped at Monroe Farms and bought some really yummy, fresh peaches, zuchinni's, squash & corn. The peaches were amazing!!!
