The Month of May

Here I am trying to catch up on what happened in May, before my awesome fam came into town.

Here's what I've got.

Dev usually looks like this after church at 4pm.

We went downtown to the International Children's Film Festival....or something like that.
It was fun. There was all sorts of fun, FREE stuff for kids, all up and down the street.

I love this pic of the boys in the hats they made.
After all the creative, fun stuff we headed over to Playhouse Square to watch this fun drum show with drums from all around the world. The kids had so much fun!

Chagrin Falls

Luke was pretty freaked out by the falls.

Right above the falls is this adorable popcorn/ice cream shop. We always make a stop here when we come to Chagrin Falls.

  Some of our friends...

Mother and Son's Date Knight at Chick-fil-a!

Luke and I went on a special date to Luke's favorite, Chick-fil-a! I LOVE that place. They are such a a great family place and are always doing lots of fun, FREE things for families. They get quite a bit of business from us!

For this night, it was extra special. We made reservations, the tables were decorated with table cloths, flowers, chocolate kisses and conversation starters (with Knight/mid-evil theme).

Some of our friends were there, including Jenn and Emmett.

They had a clown, who tied balloons for the boys. The employees were dressed up in mid-evil clothing. We had to buy our dinner, but we got dessert for free and they gave the boys roses to give to us mom's. It was so fun!

Tis the season!!!

For STRAWBERRIES!!!!
To kick off pickins this summer, we always hit up the strawberries first.

We tried a new farm this time. We usually go to Monroe Orchards, which I love and will definitely stay loyal to the rest of the time, but it's a bit of a drive and last week we had girls camp right next to Monroe's, so I was tired of making the drive. The upside to picking at Patterson's is they have a playground for the kids and A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. donuts. Seriously, the best ever. The have the funkiest flavors, some of our favorites are: lemon frosted blueberry, chocolate dipped strawberry, pumpkin, apple cider, oreo, snickers, maple with bacon on top...they are to die for!

As usual, we met up with some of our buddies. Luke and Emmett are "best friends."
We're so thankful for so many good friends we have!

Speaking of good friends. Notice Luke's bruiser?
Two little monkeys were jumping on the couch (named Luke and Emmett), one fell off and smacked his face. We didn't call the doctor because, well, it happens often and he didn't cry very long. Oh and his dad would be home soon enough.
It actually looks a lot better in this picture, it was pretty gross the first few days.
Jenn, Emmett, Baby T, Carrie, Kaylie, Luke and Dev devouring those donuts!

Lake Farm Park'n Stuff

It has been warming up finally, so we've been spending a lot of time out doors.

A few days ago we joined some friends and visited Lake Farm Park. The weather was gorgeous and we had so much fun playing with friends and seeing the animals. Here are a few random pictures from the day.

This is a funny face Devin always makes...something funny with the eye brows.
Luke thinks dandelions are just "beautiful."

I just wanted to post these cute pictures.

This is what I see from my bathroom. Occasionally I will put Dev in his crib with toys, so I can get ready and he's learned how to look over the bumper pad to watch me.

Easter Festivities

I have a lot of catching up to do on here! We've been very busy. We'll start with Easter weekend. Sorry for the lack of and lame pictures (besides this top one, which is adorable!).

We had a little Easter Brunch'n Hunt at our house with some friends. It was pretty chilly, so we just went out and did the hunt on our front lawn really quickly. Here's Luke with his "best friend" Emmett. Aren't they cute?

Doug and Katie came for the weekend, but I didn't even get any pictures with them! I was a major slacker this weekend. The guys worked unbelievably and ridiculously hard digging holes (more about the fence in a different post) on Saturday, while me and Katie hung out, ran errands, went to a ward activity and played with the kids. Sunday, was a much needed day of rest for the poor guys. We normally do the Easter part of Easter on Saturday but had forgotten, so luckily the Easter bunny came while we were at church and left a basket for Luke. The highlights of his basket were his awesome net to catch bugs, and his "work books," they are like preschool books, but are dry erase, so he loves to do them over and over. He's getting so big!

That night we had a lovely dinner which included a honey baked ham and it was DELICIOUS. Even Luke ate it, which truly is a miracle.
Thanks so much for coming D&K, we loved having you guys. Luke still is always saying "this is the worst!!!"

On another note: last weekend while Matt was on call Luke, Devin and I kicked on GARAGE SALE SEASON!!!!!!!!!! We scored!
The highlights:
Luke got this awesome train table, that is is perfect condition, for $10! Awesomeness!
And I got a cookie press that was like new in the box for $2.
Oh how we love to hunt (which isn't very hard) for treasures out here!

A brunch for the babies.

So I spend a lot of my free time with some of the same gals. I frequently have my camera with me and tend to take lots of pictures. We had a fun get-together brunch to a while back. It was Eliza (the cutie with the purple bow) 1/2 birthday...or really just an excuse to all get together and visit, before our friends move out.

It's so fun, yet exhausting trying to get five babies together for pictures.

It's pretty hilarious watching them interact with one another. I love how Talmage is just wiped out.
And Dev is holding his hand. He and Devin are only a day apart in age. His big brother Emmett is Luke's "best friend." They just moved in a few months ago and are here to stay, at least as long as we're here. I'm so glad that both boys will have such good friends so close in age.

And boys will be boys. They must be learning it from their big brothers...that or Devin is just starving in this picture!

While we managed to get some pictures of the babies, thankfully, the dads were there to keep the older ones busy and out of our hair for the moment.
I'm so thankful for such great friends, who are like family to us!

Babies

We had a little playgroup the other day and there are just so many cute babies I couldn't resist taking some pictures. Not to mention my friend has this amazing window where so much light floods the room.
Little Devin and his friend Eliza. Aren't they just the cutest?!

She is such a doll.
Marilyn showed up with her sweet little 3 week-er, here is my favorite picture!
To see more of her pictures, go here.
