Easter

Easter weekend we had a busy weekend, but we were so excited to share it with Doug, Katie and Paige, who came for a quick visit.

Friday night, before they arrived, we rented a lovely snake to snake our drains, AGAIN. Poor Doug. Every time he comes to visit there is something pretty major (like snaking our drains, building our fence, snaking our drains) that he helps fix. Sorry for the unexpected FUN Doug! :(
But, they actually fixed it pretty quickly (well, compared to the last few times), while Katie and I watched HGTV, chatted and ate Easter candy. :)

Saturday morning we went to the church for the ward Easter egg hunt.
Someone tracked us down and said, "Hey! You're suppose to be cleaning the church today!" Wha?!
So, being the good boys they are, Matt, Doug and Luke stayed behind while Me, Katie, Paige and Dev went back home. Sorry again, Doug!

Then, I had to step out and go to a baby shower. I felt bad leaving, but I was really glad that I didn't miss it. In case you didn't see the pics....go HERE!

Could things get crazier? Yes. Oh yes they could.
When Doug and Katie drove the long, six hour driver here, their brakes went out.
So, they had to take their car in and have it fixed. And what better place to take it, then some random place in East Cleveland. East Cleveland happens to be one of the most GHEEETTTTOOO cities I have ever been to. Haven't you heard the saying, "Don't stop in East Cleveland or you'll die." No? Well, it's something they say around here. Believe me, skip that town!
So that was a fun adventure too.

After all that fun, we went out to dinner and then came home to veg.

Sunday, we went to church, came home, had a lovely Easter dinner and soon after they had to take off.

After church we snapped a few pics of everyone in their Easter best.

Okay, seriously, this little Paige is so stinking cute. She is so petite and adorable. She has the teeny tiniest little voice and just chats all day long. It's so darn cute.

Doug, I thought you might appreciate this funny picture.

Cute cousins. And the two red headed grandbabies.

I found these cute outfits when we were in Texas. I couldn't resist buying them for Easter.

Matt and I can't get over this hilarious photo of Luke. He looks like a mobster or something.
He's really into making these dorky faces for photos these days. Haha
And this was the best I could get from Dev too.
This cute pose was totally his idea. Funny kid!

Even though I'm looking large and in charge, I love this little photo of my growing family!
I just can't believe how big they are. And we are SO excited to meet the newest baby boy pretty soon! (Though, not soon enough! :)

Thanks for making the trek Doug and Katie!!!
As always, we love when you visit!

Easter

This year our Easter weekend was cram packed. Saturday I had 3 photo shoots=exhausting. We celebrated the Easter Bunny on Saturday morning. Then we had a Primary Easter egg hunt that I met Matt and the kids at (and the boys were still in their pjs at 11:30am...thanks dad!). Then Daddy worked in the yard, while I kept coming and going throughout the day. My last photo shoot of the day was about 40 mins away. Since it was a busy day, a long ways for me to go and a Saturday night, I brought my family (well, they just played at a nearby park) and then we went out for dinner for Matt's soon-to-be birthday.

Here are pictures from the morning of happiness!

(These little books the Easter Bunny originally bought some new at the store for $8 and then the Easter Bunny's helper got these ones at a used toy sale for 33 cents! Score.)

This is a poor picture, but I couldn't resist the sincere excitement on his face!
Sunday, we BBQ'd for our Easter dinner, facetimed with my parents, watched He is Risen cartoony movie with the kids and dyed about 5 Easter eggs. It was great!

It was a Happy Easter this year!

Post-Easter-Update: Luke's bike didn't end up working very well, so we returned it and need to replace it.....and I think he's forgotten all about it....hmmmm garage sales anyone? :)

Easter Festivities

I have a lot of catching up to do on here! We've been very busy. We'll start with Easter weekend. Sorry for the lack of and lame pictures (besides this top one, which is adorable!).

We had a little Easter Brunch'n Hunt at our house with some friends. It was pretty chilly, so we just went out and did the hunt on our front lawn really quickly. Here's Luke with his "best friend" Emmett. Aren't they cute?

Doug and Katie came for the weekend, but I didn't even get any pictures with them! I was a major slacker this weekend. The guys worked unbelievably and ridiculously hard digging holes (more about the fence in a different post) on Saturday, while me and Katie hung out, ran errands, went to a ward activity and played with the kids. Sunday, was a much needed day of rest for the poor guys. We normally do the Easter part of Easter on Saturday but had forgotten, so luckily the Easter bunny came while we were at church and left a basket for Luke. The highlights of his basket were his awesome net to catch bugs, and his "work books," they are like preschool books, but are dry erase, so he loves to do them over and over. He's getting so big!

That night we had a lovely dinner which included a honey baked ham and it was DELICIOUS. Even Luke ate it, which truly is a miracle.
Thanks so much for coming D&K, we loved having you guys. Luke still is always saying "this is the worst!!!"

On another note: last weekend while Matt was on call Luke, Devin and I kicked on GARAGE SALE SEASON!!!!!!!!!! We scored!
The highlights:
Luke got this awesome train table, that is is perfect condition, for $10! Awesomeness!
And I got a cookie press that was like new in the box for $2.
Oh how we love to hunt (which isn't very hard) for treasures out here!
