Easter Weekend

We didn't do much this year for Easter.
We figured since Luke didn't really get it yet we would save our money (well we bought candy after Easter and save 50%!! haha).
The Friday before some women in the ward got together as a little playgroup and had a little Easter egg hunt. We all brought 12 eggs and each child could keep 12. It worked out well.
Here are pictures from Luke's very first Easter egg hunt!Naturally, the first one he went for was a soccer egg. He seemed happy with that one. He never did pick up the concept of grabbing as many as fast as you can. He'll learn next time.

It was rainy and a bit chilly so we had it inside the church.

It was also a pot luck lunch that turned out great. It was a lot of fun!
When we got home he finally realized the eggs had something in them.
Unfortunately, he has a mean mama and he didn't get any candy. I kept it all for myself! Whahahahaa. Jk. He doesn't need it anyway.

We would have celebrated it Saturday...if we would have done baskets this year, but we didn't. We did hard boil some eggs...but forgot to color them.
Man we're lame.
I promise we'll be more fun when we have more & older children.

Sunday was a beautiful day for Easter.
We were in the Choir at church and sang a beautiful song.
We had dinner at a friend's house, that was super good!
To top off the day we made a trip out to Kirtland to see a a bronze exhibit that depicted scenes from Christ's life. It was beautiful! And amazing to learn about the artist. She made a life size sculpture of Christ, that was beautiful, but she made it in 5 weeks, which is just amazing. Luke kept touching his feet and walking up to him saying "Hiiii" and "Geshus," which means Jesus.
Overall, we had a great Easter weekend!!!
But really missed our family and all the partying they were doing!
