June in Review

June flew by sooo quickly!  We had swimming lessons and spent lots of time playing out in the summer sun. We love SUMMER! Matt finished up his 2nd year, so we were able to go to a couple of graduation dinners (dates!) and we started a babysitting/date night swap EVERY weekend, which means more DATES! It's awesome. Anyway, I just wanted to quickly post these pics from June. They are very random, but at least they are there!

We had a garage sale!
We actually had two. This was the first one, but our house is pretty tucked away from lots of traffic so it didn't do so well. Two weeks later we had another one at the Kienes and sold just about everything. It was a fun experience! We had a few other families join in as well.

And the kids had a great time trying to have a lemonade stand.
Which ended up just being a complete mess of lemonade and cupcakes...but they loved it.

Notice the cute pink lemonade cupcakes? Courtesy of Kassie.

Father's Day! This one really deserves it's own post...but sorry Matt!
Matt was post call on Father's Day, so at least we had him home even if he was sleepy.

Luke gave him this cute card where he filled in the spots, or answered the questions about his dad. The best one was My dad was born: "on a trampoline."

And award goes to ME! Best wife of the year. The complete Star Wars Saga on Bluray.

A day with many friends at the Zoo...
And at the fruit farms to pick strawberries!
Family night at Legacy Village for a concert and some shopping...

SOCCER!!!
We have finally arrived! Luke did about 6 weeks of soccer. It was great. We just did it with our friends and had a few coaches, so it didn't cost us a thing! Matt happily accepted his calling as coach.

I'm glad that it was free, because this was pretty much all the playing Luke did....he was usually found on the playground or picking dandelions.

The boys and I had a date at the Aquarium one Saturday that Matt was working.

Afterwards we visited Daddy on L&D and brought him lots of goodies from the West Side Market bakeries....mmmm a Cleveland favorite!
This is always a bittersweet time of year though. Soooo many of our friends left Cleveland. I hate it! One of my best friends finally moved away. She and I had lived here for the whole time together and became really great friends. We had lots of girls night outs and parties to bid her farewell!
One of those parties happened in my backyard! It was so fun. We had this all set up and Matt built us a fire to roast mallows.

Our backyard has come a REALLY LOOONG way and we love it more and more. This pic is just to show our little hanging baskets that I love. :) Maybe next year we won't have the big honking ac unit hanging out our window.

These pics are from Marilyn....I had to awkwardly squat in the front row and felt ridiculous...hence the uncontrollable laughing.
GNO at Bspot....

Lots of lovely ladies! I love my friends!

The Kiene's spent their last 2 days at our house before their move and on the last night we couldn't help but have one more, very small, girls night. It was so fun and a great ending! Sniff sniff...we will miss you so much Marilyn!!!

Up next: July with some unexpected visitors!!!...Stay tuned.
