Catching up from the end of summer...

We really had such a wonderful Summer. Probably one of the best.

We spent so much time with our CLE friends and then were able to enjoy what felt like a
really loooong summer (long in a good way!). Ohio summers are short and mild. Utah
summers are long and hot-like summer should be.

When we finally got to Utah we played so so so much. My kids had the time of their
lives and we loved every minute of it! We had lots of parties, saw tons of cousins and
spent a ton of time together.

So these next pics are random photos from my phone I didn't want to forget.

Boating with Dr. Young's (Matt's partner) family at Deer Creek...

Luke and Devin making some new friends (Dr.Y's kids)

Mom's 60th BBQ party....Which I pretty much loved everything about it.

Making more friends (my best friend's growing up, their kids)...

Jame's first hair cut....

Check out this psycho trying to keep James happy.
No wonder he was scared...

 SO MANY BOYS!

It was cold and rainy, but incredibly gorgeous!

 Enjoying snow cones....

Did I mention my life is SURROUNDED by BOYS?!!

And flying kites in the backyard?!

My awesome dad helped us cut a ton of wood so we (and Mandy) could

All of this in a days work!!
Bday lunch with this birthday boy!

At the end of the summer, these cute girls came to visit me! They were my young women back in
Ohio and also my babysitters. They had just moved out here to go to BYU-I. I loved that
they came all the way down to salem to see us!

 Notice Devin....Oh man. Those faces!!!

And I often find photos like this on my Ipad. Of Dev and Sarah. :)

An Abundance of Leaves and An Update

Most people know we moved from our lovely home in Cleveland, Ohio and made the trek
West to Utah. Matt joined a practice in Pleasant Grove and works at The American Fork and The Timpanogos Hospitals. His parents are currently serving a mission in Hong Kong and needed someone to live in their lovely home in the meantime. We looked high and low for a house to buy in the PG area, but had no luck (or maybe I'm just too picky). We decided to build a house in PG. That process is LOOONG! Actually, that would even be an understatement. It's starting to feel like a very long pregnancy or something. We should be breaking ground anytime now and then hopefully sometime between Feb-Mar we'll be in our new house (about the same time the Clark's return). We had hoped to move closer to Matt's work before now, but it has actually worked out perfectly and we feel very blessed to be able to live in the Clark's home temporarily.

And for many that have asked, or are wondering, "if life on the other side is better?" The answer is yes and no, but mostly yes.

This house is much too big for our little family (they did have 10 people living there once!)
and the yard is huge and SO MUCH FUN! Annnnd A LOT of work! :)
When people see a pic of the yard on Instagram or something they think it's ours, well it's not, but we are happily taking care of it for now.

They also have so so sooo many HUGE trees around the property. And even though they are
absolutely gorgeous, they dump leaves like nobody's business!

The whole month of October has been incredible! The temps have been in the 70s. The changing colors, with the mountains in the background are breathtaking. I couldn't resist one night when we started cleaning up leaves to snap some photos of the boys playing out back.
I sorta love these photos of them too.

Happy Fall!

Johnson Halloween Party 2014

My family has always had pretty huge Halloween parties since before I was married.
This year was our FIRST year going!!!
It was so much fun! I love my family!

We had yummy soups in bread bowls for dinner and with my family
there is never a shortage of desserts. :)

We played a series of Halloween-themed minute to win it games...
Seeing how may spiders they can get into their cup before a min is up.

And the cookie game.
Place a cookie on your forehead and get it to slide into your mouth without using your hands.

Ella was trying to teach Dev how it worked.

The babies were in heaven...finding candy all over the floors!

We also had a pinata for the older kids and one for the younger,
and caramel apple decorating!

It appears that someone cut to the front of the line for the pinata and Dev was not happy. :)

This game was fun, but gross. They had scary, or vampire teeth in and had to transfer marshmallows
from one bowl to the next. Next time we'll use big mallows.
And this one, we split them up into teams and see who could make the best mummy
before a minute was up. Boys won!

 Sweet baby Spencer!

Awards!
Dev won 3rd place for best kid costume!
Matt won 3rd place for best adult costume!
And Lydia and I won 1st place for best kid/adult costumes!

All the cute costumes and families!....

 The Lofgrans
 The Forseys
 The Biglers

 The Matt Johnson Family
 John Smith the super hunk.
That ombre is just killing me!
 The Clarks
(including our adopted (or auntie) child Sarah)

 And The Chris Johnson Family

Happy Halloween!
