Welcome Home Elder and Sister Clark!!!

Monday, March 2nd 2015
Matt's parents returned home from serving an 18 month mission in
Hong Kong, China!
We were very excited to see them and have them home!

And yup! We were that family at the airport. That's how we looked when they
took their first glance at us! :)

Luke and Devin were excited and not shy at all to see them, but
James was only 2 months old when they left, so he was a bit more hesitant.

WELCOME HOME!!!!

Susie's Baby Shower

A couple of weeks ago we threw a baby shower for my sister Susie.
She has 3 boys and is expecting her first girl!
It was such a fun day to celebrate her little one who will be here soon!

My mom gets some serious credit. She made all those (plus about 200 more not pictured)
mini bundt cakes. She's quite the gourmet chef and entertainer around here!
I blame her for my crazy parties I throw. ;)

End of January and The House Is Coming Along!

Just some more random photos to log....

Matt sunbathing in the window...is he a grandpa yet?

Devin and his continued stubbornness. It was hat day. This house is full of some pretty
awesome hats. But no. We had to make one, 10 minutes before school. Oh Devin!

James is still quite the cutie and happiest one in our house. He's become more
and more independent...or at least he thinks so.

Luke earned a SuperStar Award at his school last week!

Devin was not enjoying the assembly one bit. It went something like this:
Announcer: "the award goes to amberlynn...."
Devin: "amberlynn?!! Well, thats a weird name!"
Or "She has a weird voice!"
Or covering his ears when some high school kids were performing a song.
He's such a charmer isn't he?
Oh and if you've ever met Devin you know he does not know how
to whisper. That boy!

 Luke's BIRTHDAY!
(more to come on the next post).

Our house is really coming along. Now it's all getting VERY exciting!
I squeal a little bit every time I see it!
They actually laid the tile wrong around the fire place (it's suppose to lay
vertically, not horizontally), but they are quickly fixing that,
I LOVE our tile choices!!

We went with some friends to the Bean Museum
at BYU. My boys are outnumbered by girls here!

And if you haven't heard Spring has already arrived in February?!! The last few days have been SOOOO nice. Today it was 70 degrees! We've played outside, jogged outside, fed ducks,
rode scooters, you name it! It's been glorious!

And more progress on the house...
Stopped by today and they're starting to paint the exterior.
It will be white and grey pretty much. I can't wait to see it done!
Our master bath is looking so good. Matt takes credit for choosing
the faux wood tile (I'm pretty sure I would have chosen the
same thing, if he hadn't beaten me to it. But it was actually the most
expensive tile we chose...so at least I can blame him for that-hah!)
And I LOVE the shower and tub. I was so nervous because it's actually not really tile.
It comes in a sheet. It's sorta fake, but you would never guess. It even looks
like it has grout, but it doesn't so it's suppose to be much easier to clean and still gives
it that lovely subway tile look I wanted (plus it saved us a bundle!).

 The boys bath.
And CABINETS! So exciting!
Also, I was so nervous the paint would turn out purple or blue-looking, but it actually
looks just how I had hoped.
Everyone tells you "if your marriage can survive building a house
then you can survive anything." I think that's a bunch of baloney!
We've had such a blast with the building process. The worst part
has been waiting!! By the way, we close March 11th!!!
Yay!

Merry Christmas 2014!

We had a lovely Christmas!
Matt had time off, we were all together!
Sarah was here for the fun too.
It dumped and dumped snow all night, which made for a perfect Christmas morning!

The kids never get pop-tarts, so they were so excited to get them first
thing in the morning. Later that morning my parents ventured out
through the snow to visit us and have a late breakfast with us.
We had orange rolls from Kneaders, Strawberry French Toast (with Kneaders
Cinnamon bread) and an egg casserole. It was all so easy and SO SO good!
Every year we try to get a pic of the boys in front of their presents...and it
never really works out.
Little James was so confused about this whole Christmas thing.

Dev really wanted a Santa costume for Christmas this year.
And he need to just test out his slippers, funny kid.

Yes, we were all quite spoiled this year. But this year the boys really seemed
to enjoy and appreciate all their gifts. Last year it was like "okay, where's my next
present?" This time they actually took the time to play with their things before
moving onto the next. It was a fun day!

The aftermath.
Why does it take a couple days to clean up the Christmas presents?

 James is such a babe.
He kept says "da da!" (ta-da!)

And our Christmas card this year.
It was probably my favorite yet.
Matt's very talented cousin designed it for us.

We really did have a fantastic 2014!
We've been so so blessed.
There's lots to look forward to in 2015.

Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year!!
