This year for our Johnson Family Reunion we drove 5 hours north
to Island Park, Idaho. We spent 3 days there, we visited part of Yellowstone too.
There was, as always, a lot of good food, lots of laughs, lots of embarassing moments,
card games, lip sync'ing and hot tubbing.
The pictures aren't in the right order...but you get the idea...
James and Avery were quite the funny ducks when it came to getting their photo taken.
The families.
The Biglers.
The Forseys.
Chris Johnson Family.
Matt Johnson Family.
(We missed the Lofgran's this year!!!)
The Clark Family.
I might add that everyone was given an award this year.
Among ours were "the brightest boy" (James) and
Among ours were "the brightest boy" (James) and
" the cutest baby makers" (us-obviously!).
So many grandkids and two cool grandparents!
We visited this cute site. Johnny Sacks cabin.
Old Faithful Geyser and all my handsome men!
Cute James and Grandpa...
And all the sore losers that had to sit out on the rafting trip
and stay home with the kids...can you see the disappointment?
One night we drove into West Yellowstone, MT to do a little
souvenir shopping and to get our huckleberry fix!!
We didn't see a whole lot of wildlife while we were out and about, but we were
lucky enough to see this mama moose with her baby moose right in front of our cabin!
It was SOOO huge!
On our way to the reunion we stopped in Rexburg, ID at BEAR WORLD!
It was pretty awesome!
There was quite the interesting petting zoo.
Podunk rides.
Ice cream.
Bears, elk, buffalo, deer, moose, wolves and more.
We drove our car through (like right next to them) to see all these wild animals. It was pretty freaky!
Notice James face? He really hates rides of all kinds.
He'll take the ice cream instead.
Apparently the kids meals in Idaho are footlong corn dogs too! :)
Shenanigans at the cabin.
While we were at Old Faithful, not only did James fall off the platform into the gravel
(not into a boiling pot of water!) and was dripping blood down his back...but we got to
see the Beehive Geyser go off too! I guess it only goes off once a day and it shoots the
highest of all the geysers.
I can't remember the name of this one, but it was my favorite. It was so cool!
I was taking a panoramic photo and didn't realize until later that my nephew was
placed perfectly in the corner. Haha!
The colors (and the smells) here were unreal!
(Notice that hunk behind me carrying two babies-A real man right there).
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
Again, my favorite, no-named place.
We live in a pretty incredible world!
