Here's to my monthly update thanks to my camera phone...mucho photos...sorry!
Never knew how much happiness and entertainment a salad spinner could bring to a two year old.
The belly....at 27 weeks (I'm now almost 32! Eek!)
This is what happens when I let girls babysit Luke and Devin...a tea party, that they loved! :)
Lots of walks and bike rides. Devin insists on wearing his helmet.
Play dates during preschool.
Devin, Jane and Mailee.
Free ice cream at Ben and Jerrys!
April showers! Seriously though, I love the down pours here...even though I swear they ALWAYS hit right as I am pulling into my driveway and then I'm stuck in my car until they let up...or honestly we get completely drenched just walking from our garage to our house.
Another ultrasound of our little dude....Yes, freaky I know, but you can see some of his cute face.
Food revolves around my world these days (though, there isn't much room for it any more).
Favorites at Lolita's and these fancypants donuts at Red....so fun!!!
I am SO going to miss the fun restaurants here when we move.
Matt's birthday was on a Sunday this year, on Saturday we had tickets to the IX Indoor Amusement Park (indoor carnival). It was fun for the kids and for Matt...but not so much for my feet. :)
Really we do little celebrations all week long for Birthdays it seems like. Friday night we went on a date to a new place and it was absolutely terrible. Poor Matt, who eats almost EVERYTHING, couldn't even keep his dish in front of him because it smelled so bad. Not the best birthday date. So Saturday night we had to go to Five Guys to make up for the night before.
Then Sunday, it was our usual Sunday, but we did presents and had a yummy dinner and dessert.
I made Matt an Oreo ice cream cake. It was a hit!
It looks super fancy, but was actually SO easy, because you layer ice cream sandwiches pretty much. :)
Excited for an electric toothbrush! You don't know how long he's wanted one.
April has been good to us and has given us lots of warm days that the boys play outside literally ALL day long. It has been fantastic!
And I just love love love this photo. My friend told me I should submit it to the Ensign. This is our typical Monday night around here...though, usually the boys aren't both sitting and listening at the same time.
I just love my little family.
Devin and I have been able to spend lots more one-on-one time this year, while Luke was at preschool. Surprisingly both of my boys will sit and read books with me for an hour a day. These days they find it quite cooshie to snuggle up with that belly of mine...Of course when I tried to take a photo Dev saw the camera and had to make a face.
Friends over. Always lots of boys it seems. And see that puddle? Yes, that is a gallon of bubbles that Devin dumped out.....awesome.
It's been awhile since I've been so excited about a garage sale find! But we scored big time and got this fancypants backpack carrier at used toy sale for $20! It will likely sit in our basement till we move back west next summer, but hey, we couldn't pass it up!!
I think I am crazy. I hosted our date night group all on my own, while Matt worked (2 boys didn't come this week). We made pizza and then ice cream (which ended up being quite messy for an indoor activity!) But it ate up most of the time and it was really fun! We love our date-swapping group!
I realize the following photos are a little excessive...but why do I have a blog? For my personal record keeping and really, just for my family (namely our parents) to see our growing boys...
"We want our picture with Jesus!"
They have always enjoyed dressing up, but lately it seems to be happening all the time.
Tis the season for yard clean up! Which I hate. Thankfully, Matt has done all of that this year and left the mowing to me (which I love). We're so happy spring is finally here!!!
A babysitting miracle....this was taken at 11am after my morning walk...wha?!
I promise I am a good babysitter. :)
Where's a better place to play on the iPad than a big box?
A friend of our was staying at a hotel and invited us to go swimming one day...two minutes after getting the car. BAM! He was out.
Then slept in a rain coat. And Luke hit the sack too...it was a pretty good day.
And in bigger news!!!
Matt's parents were waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting to receive their mission call.
It FINALLY came and since 5 of 8 of their children live out of state we tried the new Google Hang out (I think).
It was pretty darn cool.
And while we killed time waiting for everyone across the country to join in, everyone was a little goofy.
It was fun.
Finally! They read the letter and they have been called to serve in Hong Kong, China!
It wasn't really much of a surprise, since that's where they had hoped to go (Matt's dad served his mission there when he was 19), but we are all still very excited and happy for them!!
I think this is such a cute picture.
Then they showed us President Monson's actual signature (not just a stamp!). So cool!
They will enter the MTC on September 2nd. So we still have some time to see them, and plan to a couple times before they leave. They'll be there for 18 months! We're so proud of them and their good example!
Devin insisted on a photo of him smashing my nose....
And....this is like the story of my life.
All I said was, "Devin, please eat your food."
Luke's most recent family-related drawing...notice Jeme at the top? They boys think our baby's name is Jimmy...but I never thought to spell it that way. ;)
My boys absolutely ADORE their friend Jane.
We love when she comes to play.
Ever made something on pinterest and it totally failed? Yeah...that's what I did. :)
And Devin has recently taking up doodling. He told me this one was his "silly guy" and it surprisingly looks like a silly guy, with a mustache. Funny boy!
