Highlights of this last week

Sunday- I was able to go to Relief Society (probably for the last time for a while again...back to nursery). It was great! And it was Easter, a special holiday is always a plus! Oh, and I made a yummy taco soup for dinner.

Monday- Matt's least busy day of the week! He also brought me home a Dr. Pepper...mmm.

Tuesday- American Idol, always a weekly highlight. I love that show.

Wednesday- My silly boy kept me entertained all day with this funny faces and smiles. My visiting teacher came by to visit, it was nice to have some adult interaction.
Thursday- I got the car today!! I went to Micheals and bought some cute crafty stuff to work on for my kitchen and Luke's bedroom. I took Luke to the doctors for his 2 month, he had to get 4 shots but they are good for him. He was super fussy all night, but thankfully Matt was home that night so he could help me.

Friday-I made snickerdoodle cookies (not nearly as good as Sarah Schullers) and surprised Matt with a yummy dinner. We had Orange cashew chicken & carrots over rice. Then we went to the dollar movies and saw 27 Dresses (pretty lame). It was a fun date though.

Saturday- I got Matt all day!!! Best day of the week! We slept in a little, went and cleaned the church and did a pretty good job I'd say. We did some shopping and bought way too much discounted easter candy. Oooh and we bought a detachable shower head!!! (probably the highlight of the day). The missionaries came over and we had a yummy dinner and dang good brownies for dessert. Saturday was a good day.

Hello Doctor, how are you?

Well Matt successfully finished his first week of clinical rotations. He survived, I survived. It was a hard week. He was really busy, well a lot busier than he has been in a while. Before he was going to class and studying all the time. Now he's in and out of clinics and lectures, he leaves early in the morning and gets home late. So I'm still trying to adjust to this new husband-less lifestyle. And it hasn't been any easier on him, he's never worked such long hours before and he's had to learn a lot of new things this week. I am so proud of him though, he's a hard worker and trying really hard to learn all he can to be a good doctor someday.

When he came home on his first big day he was wearing a LONG white coat, a long one means your important. No more short, nerdy looking white coats! He said as he was leaving the hospital a guy said to him, "Hello Doctor, how are you?" It caught him off guard and said it was really weird that people call him Doctor. Haha, I think it's pretty weird too. And the fact that he's Doctor Clark, when people say that I think about his dad...so that's still a little weird too. Anyway I thought he looked pretty cute and he thought he looked pretty cool so we had to take a picture.

Easter weekend

This Easter weekend we decided since Matt was finally about to start his clinical rotations and he'll be really busy we wanted to just have a relaxing weekend. So, we rented 7 movies and decided to have a movie weekend. We pulled out the futons put them down on the floor and made a big bed pretty much and layed there and watched movies and ate easter candy. We were pretty lazy but it was pretty fun. We watched Dan in Real life (pretty funny), Martian Child(a little weird, but good), No Reservations (cheesey), Uncorked (different, but funny), Transformers (it felt like the 10th time!!!!) & Rescue Dawn (good).

Saturday night our friends Ben & Janelle had us over for an Easter dinner and it was delicious! Sunday Matt did the dishes! Let me just say how good it felt to not have to do them. Sunday is his day because he doesn't study or anything, it's great. Church was great as well.

Luke is a ladies man as you can tell.

Oh he's so cute I love it!

He's a mama's boy.

Luke found a friend.

On Lukes cool little swing there is a round mirror above his head (that's the picture below).
Well a few days ago Luke discovered another little baby in that mirror.
And he fell in love with himself! Haha

He sat like this for 15 minutes straight, smiling and talking to his new found friend.

Our cute little beach bum soaking up the sun.

Happy Valley

Well we finally made it to Utah Sunday night. We had a lot of fun spending time with family. We blessed Luke at Matt's parents home on Monday night, Matt played a lot of raquetball, we went bowling, had some family get togethers and I did a lot of shopping! Best of all Luke got to finally meet the fam.He did great on the plane. The way there he slept the whole entire time (above) and on the way back he was great too he just kept smiling at Matt in the picture below.

This is his blessing outfit. I tried taking the pic while holding him it was such a cute little outfit but I don't have any great pictures on my camera, I'll upload them soon.

One morning it was just me and Luke while Matt played raquetball and he kept smiling up at the mirror on the wall behind/above him. He was so happy and was just talking it was so cute.
Little Jakson smiling in his sleep.
Burkely, Aunt Mary and Jakson.

Cousins Lexi and Mitchel with Luke.

Luke meeting his Great Grandma Hales.

Oh I love this picture. Luke's cousin Keegan is 2 and he looves babies.
He was so excited when we let him hold Luke, they're so cute!
Auntie Sarah!

And Luke finally meeting his Grandpa Johnson.

So Jakson is at least half the weight of Luke so we laid them next to each other to compare and Luke kept punching Jakson. But they were cute and Jakson is so tiny!!!

My friend Dani had her bridal shower while I was in town too so it was nice to see my friends, they loved Luke.
