A Christmas Party

Last weekend we had our ward Christmas party.
Before we went I just snapped (not great quality, because it's with my point&shoot) this pictures of the boys.
This gives you an idea of how big Devin is. He is a chunky boy!

Luke kept making these silly faces, right as I took the picture! He's a funny kid.

So at our party jolly old Saint Nick showed up.
It's just so funny to see all the kids go wild, but once they get close to him they either love him, freeze or scream.
Matt thought I was mean, because I made Devin wear this Sanata outfit. However, everyone else thought it was adorable!
These pictures probably look the same to you, but they aren't. They are different. He's just so adorable I didn't know which one to pick!
Luke and Santa
Luke told Santa he wanted a present for Christmas.
More specifically, a red one.

As a side note, Devin is 3 months old now!
He is just growing, growing!
He is so close to rolling over. He just started noticing his hands and will spend most of his awake time staring at them, it's so cute.  And he's still smiling and giggling every day. Giggling to the point that he gets the hiccups and then gets mad. Funny boy.

A Thanksgiving to be remembered!

This is going to be long because I have a lot of catching up to do.

The party began when the McArthur's arrived from their 20-something hour drive, from Houston (they must really love us!) on Sunday morning at 3am-ish.
Then Sunday night Meg, Dave and McKelle arrived from Maryland (6hr drive).
Next was Rachel, McKay and Sammy, on Monday afternoon, from Phoenix (5-6 hrs flying, alone with two little boys).
Tuesday, Doug and Katie came from Ann Arbor, Michigan (3hr drive).
Later that night, Anne, Rob, Cam, Sarah and Adrienne flew in from Utah.
And last, but not least, Charlie (Rachel's hubs) flew in, off a red-eye flight, from AZ on Thanksgiving morning.
Again, that makes a total of 25 people!

Not only did Em & Doug make the longest trip from Houston, with their five kids, they also towed a trailer full of stuff for us! They are amazing!
They brought us a new couch set (that we LOVE).
We didn't want to get rid of our current couch. It was a gift from my siblings for our wedding and is in great condition. We couldn't fit it anywhere else in our house and we wanted it in our basement.
So, I proposed this idea....
Cutting it in half!
Scary, I know.
You can tell that Matt is a surgeon. He did a beautiful job cutting it.
He put it back together using metal plates to put the frame together.

And it wouldn't have turned out perfectly without the help of Emily. She sewed it back together and you cannot even tell where it was cut!
Cousin Julia, Aunt Katie and baby Devin.
The oldest and youngest Clark grandkids.
Sweet little McKelle.

One day we tried out a new place we found here in Cleveland, Fun'n Stuff.
We had lots of fun for three hours, playing laser tag, "bowling," bungie-bouncing, roller skating, rock climbing, playing arcade games and more. It was fun!
Luke and Sawyer on their motorcycles.
Spencer, Julia, Sarah, Adrienne and Devin.
Oh and there's Madisen bouncing behind them.
Matt and Luke, with Doug M. and Logan behind them.
Doug and Katie
Sarah and Lukey
McKelle sporting the roller shoe skates.
Luke and Dev with Grandpa Clark
Anne made all the girls matching pajama pants.
Adrienne, Julia, Grandma, McKelle, Madisen and Sarah
Grandma with all the girl grandbabies!
My two very different, yet very similar boys.
Devin is sooo white compared to Luke's olive skin color.
And matching pants for all the boys.
Spencer, Logan, McKay, Sammy, Uncle Cam, Devin, Luke and Sawyer

We had Clark Family Olympics. Here are some pictures from that event.

Here are the teams (minus ours-me-matt-luke):
 Julia, Spencer, Sarah
 The Allens
 Katie, Sawyer, Doug

 Adrienne, Sammy and Cam
 Doug M, Emily and Logan
 Gma, Gpa and Madisen
 Meg, McKelle, Dave
Every year the Clark men have a beard/stache growing contest.
Obviously Doug M. takes the cake. Rob, Charlie and Matt are the other hairy's.

These pics of Luke are just hilarious.

Friday evening Matt blessed Devin at our house. He did a great job and it was so great to have so much family there.

The 3-generation photo.

On Thanksgiving morning our drains backed up and our basement started flooding. Talk about perfect timing! Not, except for the part where Matt's bro's were here to help and I didn't have to. So all day Friday we couldn't use the potty, shower, do dishes, laundry or anything!!! Luckily, our friends that just moved out were letting us use their vacant house around the block for a few people to sleep at. Every hour we'd load up the car and take potty runs. It was pretty funny. Thankfully Matt and his brothers snaked it and had it fixed Friday Morning.
Before the blessing we tried taking a few family pictures.
It was freezing cold outside though and windy, so it didn't last long and didn't make kids very happy.
Here are a few of what we got.

And the whole family!

Thank you to all of you who traveled so far to be with us for Thanksgiving and for Devin's blessing.
We love and miss you all!!!

Blessing

Last week was a week full of crazy chaos, go, go, go, food, potty trips, flooding, couch-cutting, vacation, Olympics, Thanksgiving and best of all, family.

We had TWENTY FIVE (including us) people at our house for several days.
It was fun.
And very crazy.

Friday Matt blessed our little Devin. He did a great job.

I have many, many more pictures to come from the fun-filled week that I will post soon.
